With the popularity of Pokémon cards, robberies and thefts at card stores have become frequent in Japan. Late at night on December 10, a robbery occurred at a trading card trading store in Ikebukuro. This store specializes in Pokémon trading cards and is only a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. The person in charge of the store posted that at about 2:35 a.m. on Sunday, December 10, robbers broke into the store. Two minutes after the incident, when the security company and police arrived, the robbers were gone.

The entire crime was caught on surveillance cameras, and the robbers could be seen destroying the display case and sweeping away all the Pokémon cards in the display case in just two minutes.

The person in charge of the store said: "Fortunately, there were no staff or other people at the scene, and no one was injured. The entire crime process was captured by the camera. It seems that it was committed by a man and a woman. We cannot disclose the value of the stolen items."

The person in charge also said that it will be closed for a period of time before reopening, and appealed to people to provide information: "If you know any information, please contact us."
