One of the crystallizations of the Internet era, today's massive short videos have become the best way for countless people to kill their fragmented time. Recently, brain professor Kohei Sakaki from the Center for Applied Cognitive Neuroscience of Tohoku University in Japan issued a warning that being addicted to short videos will destroy brain characteristics, including multiple functions.

·With incomparable advantages, short videos have already replaced many users’ original habit of spending time reading. However, the huge advantage of reading is scientifically stated as an effective way to actively exercise the brain’s concentration, understanding and imagination. Being addicted to short videos directly makes the brain give up “exercise”.
·Another huge harm is the "over-intake of useless information." Short videos disseminate various information quickly and directly. Regardless of whether it is true or false, the brain is still passively accepting useless information under the negative influence of losing movement, which can easily lead to premature degeneration of the brain.
·The ultimate result of being addicted to short videos is the inevitable decline in users’ memory, thinking and judgment. Experts say that short videos are the most dangerous trap in the Internet era.
