AMD seems to be preparing more consumer-grade models for its Radeon AI PRO R9000 series of GPUs based on the RDNA 4 architecture. The official website support pages of the two new graphics cards, Radeon AI PRO R9700S and Radeon AI PRO R9600D, are already accessible, indicating that these two graphics cards are coming soon.

Currently, there is only one R9700 in the AMD Radeon AI PRO R9000 series. This graphics card was launched in the retail market last month, with a domestic price of 10,999 yuan and 32GB of video memory.

While the support page has not released any specific specifications or information, Wccftech believes that the Radeon AI PRO R9700S is named with an "S" suffix, which is usually AMD's label for mobile chips.

If the speculation is true, the R9700S will be the first product of the RDNA 4 architecture to enter the mobile market segment, ending the current generation of RDNA 4 that only provides desktop graphics cards.

The R9700S may be powered by the same Navi 48 core as the desktop RX 9070 XT and may offer up to 32GB of video memory, which would give it the ability to compete with NVIDIA's flagship mobile graphics cards.

As for the Radeon AI PRO R9600D, Wccftech believes that it is likely to be a dedicated model based on the Navi 44 core. Unlike "S", "D" has not been used in AMD's product line before, but NVIDIA has used "D" for China's special models.

Given that AMD's latest Linux driver has listed support for the R9600D and also supports the Radeon PRO W7900D specially supplied in China, the R9600D may also be a specially supplied model.

However, it should be noted that the above are all speculations, and the specific information must be subject to official information. AMD may announce related products at the 2026 CES exhibition.
