China Unicom stated that due to business upgrades,Starting from December 2025, the "reject mobile phone numbers" function of DND products will be temporarily offline, and all mobile phone number blocking that has been set will no longer take effect.
It is understood that in order to prevent users from being harassed by marketing calls, China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom provided free "Do Not Disturb" services (formerly "Reject Nuisance Calls" service) to users across the country in October 2019.
Users do not need to download the App. They can activate the "Do Not Disturb" service for free by following the WeChat official account of the basic telecommunications company or sending a business text message.
Users can independently set the categories for rejecting calls, including loan management, insurance promotion, stocks and securities, real estate agency, education and training, etc.Basic telecommunications companies provide precise protection based on users' willingness to answer various types of calls.
In June 2024, the national "Do Not Disturb Calls" service added a text message protection function and was officially renamed "Do Not Disturb Calls and Letters."
As of February this year,The "Do Not Disturb Calls and Texts" service of the three major operators has more than 1 billion registered users, and the cumulative number of protections has exceeded 80 billion.
