As one of the top three German luxury brands, Audi's sales in the Chinese market have continued to decline in recent years, which has also put greater operating pressure on dealers. According to reports,Fujian Yuanli Automobile Sales and Service Co., Ltd., a well-known automobile dealer in Fuzhou, recently confirmed that it has terminated its cooperative relationship with the Audi manufacturer. It will close its Audi 4S store and will no longer sell new Audi cars in the future, but it will continue to provide after-sales services such as maintenance and repairs to existing car owners.
Currently, the information of "Fujian Motive Force" cannot be retrieved from the dealer list on Audi China's official website.
The relevant person in charge of Fujian Motive Force revealed,"The Audi manufacturer has been pressuring dealers for a long time. It loses 30,000 to 50,000 yuan when selling one car. If it sells 100 units, it will lose 3 million yuan. No matter how much money it has, it can't afford it."
“Not only is the sales end severely disrupted, but the after-sales department is also imposed with excessive spare parts tasks. The excess inventory can only be sold to third-party repair shops at a low price of 20% off, further eroding profits.”
The person in charge also said that since it is no longer responsible for the brand's operation and sales tasks, the company will significantly reduce the unit price of repairs and retain the original maintenance and technical personnel. After-sales services for previously sold cars will still be effective, and promises that all accessories are genuine.
It is worth noting that against the backdrop of a general decline in sales of domestic joint venture luxury brands, established Audi dealers are not alone.
Some time ago, after the three Audi 4S stores of Baoaijie Group in Suzhou, Wuxi, and Changzhou were withdrawn from the network, Hangzhou Aobao Store also issued a store closure notice in October 2025, and the after-sales rights and interests of many car owners were also affected.
The withdrawal of Audi dealers is closely related to the decline in Audi brand sales and lower car prices. Data shows that in 2024, Audi's sales in China will be 649,000 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 11.8%;From January to September this year, Audi China sold 436,000 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 9%.
Against the background of double decline in sales volume and bicycle prices, dealers choose to withdraw from the network or transform, which can be regarded as an unavoidable stop-loss measure.
