China Eastern Airlines announced,At 2:19 this morning, China Eastern Airlines' "Guobo"-themed painted aircraft flew flight MU745 for the first time on the world's longest route of 20,000 kilometers.The aircraft type this time was a Boeing 777-300ER, carrying 282 passengers from Pudong, Shanghai. After stopping in Auckland, New Zealand, it flew to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
This new route has a total range of 19,681 kilometers, setting a new record for the longest one-way route in the world., is also the only direct route between China and Argentina that does not require transfers.
It opens up a "south passage" connecting the other side of the ocean, shortening the voyage from China to South America by more than 4 hours.
The new route launched this time is scheduled to operate two round-trip flights per week:Departing from Shanghai on Mondays and Thursdays, the journey takes 25 hours and 55 minutes; departing from Buenos Aires on Tuesdays and Fridays, the journey takes 29 hours.
