According to reports, former Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) star Scarlett Johansson may switch to the DC camp and is currently negotiating to join "The New Batman 2". According to Nexus Point News (later confirmed by Deadline), the "Jurassic World" and "Black Widow" actress is currently in talks to play a mysterious role in the "Batman" sequel.

While discussions are still ongoing, Deadline's sources say talks between DC, director Matt Reeves and Scarlett Johansson are in the final stages.
We still know very little about how The Batman 2 will continue the plot of the first film and its spin-off The Penguin. However, fans will soon start speculating on which role Scarlett Johansson will play opposite Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne.
While characters like Poison Ivy, Batgirl, Talia al Ghul, and even Andrea Beaumont are the first to come to mind, Reeves and the DC team have revealed too little information so far for fans to form any solid guesses.
"Batman 2" is expected to start filming in the spring of 2026, with a tentative release date of October 1, 2027. The film has been postponed many times before.
It's going to be a pretty packed schedule for Scarlett Johansson, as she recently joined Mike Flanagan's new film The Exorcist. The Hollywood Reporter said Scarlett is expected to finish filming "The Exorcist" before joining the DC Universe.
