Kojima Productions is cooperating with A24 to create a "Death Stranding" live-action movie. The news comes from the $40 "Death Stranding" xA24 theme T-shirt on the A24 official website store.

Officially announced:

We have partnered with Kojima Productions to develop a live-action film adaptation of Hideo Kojima’s famous video game Death Stranding. You can even buy a T-shirt with the A24 logo printed on it for $40, which is a modified version of "Death Stranding".

It's unclear how A24 will be involved, but it will certainly bring some considerable movie pedigree. In the past 12 months, A24 has produced or participated in the production of films including "Talk to Me", "Past Lives" and "The Whale". Other acclaimed works include Lady Bird, The Green Knight and Everything Everywhere All at Once - which won the Oscar for Best Picture earlier this year.

"Death Stranding" was released in 2019. It tells the story of courier Sam Porter Bridges (played by Brother Nu) as he fights to reconnect the divided United States after a doomsday event called "Death Stranding".
