Recently, a woman in Guangzhou posted a video saying,I bought a DJI Pocket 3 through the Xianyu platform and was defrauded of 4,000 yuan one after another, and then another 35,000 yuan was stolen. She said that at that time, the seller sent a QR code for the product, and after scanning it, a link appeared.
The link opened on the webpage was the Xianyu ordering page, so I paid 1,958 yuan using WeChat without much thought.
However, the seller said that he had not opened WeChat and needed to use Alipay. After paying again, the seller said that his account was frozen and he needed to contact customer service.
Later, she contacted the so-called "Xianyu customer service", who asked her to download a software and use screen sharing to defraud SMS verification codes and steal a lot of money.
The woman said she contacted Xianyu’s official customer service after the incident, but the customer service refused to provide the seller’s personal information and has now called the police.
