Recently, the startup Keeper believes that they can help you find your "soul mate" using AI, and if you can't find it, you will tell the truth. The company’s CEO said: “We know exactly who may and who may not be your soul mate.”
Since its launch, Keeper has received more than 1.5 million registrations, of which about 300,000 people have completed account creation. Among these users, a "small number" have been successfully matched.
Currently, Keeper is only available to heterosexual users and does not provide clear options for different gender identities.
The platform has a complex fee structure and the fees are only for male users.
Male users need to sign a "marriage bounty agreement", which is usually $50,000 if they get married successfully.
In addition, each appointment scheduled through the platform will cost $5,000, which the CEO said will be deducted from the total bounty amount.

At the same time, the initial registration form for the account is also very complex. It not only contains the basic information found in conventional dating apps (such as age, height), but also requires users to provide data such as academic scores (including SAT scores), career aspirations, salary and net worth, and even encourages users to complete external personality tests.
After completing the initial questionnaire, users need to go through 13 subsequent steps, from uploading photos to explaining their views on love.
The CEO said AI plays a key role in analyzing "overall attractiveness" as well as user-specific characteristics.
However, Keeper’s service is not fully automated, and artificial matchmakers are still involved in the matching process.
Once the system determines that the match is successful, Keeper will connect the two parties via SMS.
