Consumers can use Douyin App to scan the official payment device at a cooperative store and jump to the merchant's exclusive payment page to complete the payment. When paying, you need to manually enter the order amount. After confirming with the merchant, you can choose payment methods such as Alipay, WeChat Pay, or Douyin Pay.The entire process is completed within the Douyin App, without the need to jump to other applications, forming a closed payment loop.

Currently, this function has been piloted in key cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou, covering high-frequency offline consumption scenarios such as restaurants, convenience stores, fresh food supermarkets, life services, and leisure and entertainment. The cooperation partners include both chain brands and local small and medium-sized merchants.

The merchant access process is simple. You only need to submit qualifications and activate permissions through the Douyin merchant backend, and receive the official payment device from the service provider, and it can be put into use.

Previously, Douyin has become an important traffic platform for offline merchants with its large number of short videos of store visits and check-ins. The emergence of "Douyin Pay" allows users to stay in the Douyin ecosystem from watching videos, navigating to the store, and finally scanning the QR code to pay. This also means that Douyin’s local life services no longer stop at “draining traffic”, but go further into the core of the consumption process.

For merchants,This not only enriches the payment channels, but also converts in-store customers into fans of Douyin accounts through the payment link, so that subsequent promotions, promotions of new products and other content can continue to stimulate repurchase.
