At the 2025 Xiaomi Renchejia Ecological Partner Conference held today, Luo Fuli, the person in charge of Xiaomi MiMo large models, made a public appearance and gave a speech on stage. At the scene, Luo Fuli, a technical expert known as the "AI Genius Girl" delivered a speech titled"Xiaomi MiMo: Xiaomi Base Large Model"keynote speech.
Xiaomi MiMo, as the first large-scale inference model independently developed by Xiaomi, has attracted much attention. In her speech, Luo Fuli introduced Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Flash, which was launched as an open source, in detail, focusing on its three significant features.
First, it has strong code and tool calling capabilities, and can be called an efficient "language" for Agent communication, making information interaction smoother and more seamless;
Second, the model structure is carefully designed around ultimate reasoning efficiency, which is the key to achieving "high-bandwidth" Agent collaboration and provides strong support for collaborative processing of complex tasks;
Third, a new post-training paradigm is adopted to continuously optimize model performance through efficient and stable extended reinforcement learning training.
Luo Fuli further said that Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Flash contains super base potential.Although its total parameters are only 309B (15B activated), it has ranked among the top 2 global open source models in terms of code and Agent evaluation benchmarks.It even surpasses DeepSeek V3.2 and K2-Thinking on most evaluation benchmarks, while the number of parameters has been reduced by 1/2 to 2/3, truly achieving greater results with less.
In addition, MiMo-V2-Flash also has the ultimate inference efficiency. In the speed and cost quadrant of the world's top models, it stands out with its advantages of low cost and high speed, showing strong competitiveness.
It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi’s self-developed large AI model Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Flash has been officially open source and launched.
