According to CCTV news reports, recently,The world's first domestically produced large aircraft C919 flight simulator delivered to an airline was officially put into use at the China Eastern Airlines R&D Center, marking a key step in the construction of domestically produced large aircraft operation support capabilities. The flight simulator received this time is currently the most advanced full-motion flight simulator for the C919 aircraft. It has excellent visual fidelity and virtual computing capabilities. It can realize high-simulation flight training in a variety of subjects and create a simulated flight effect close to reality.
After the simulator is put into use, it will fill the gap in the field of C919 training equipment for airlines and will provide key support for the comprehensive upgrade of the flight training system.
China Eastern Airlines will summarize and provide feedback on the actual operation of the simulator and form an "operation-training-research and development" model so that the C919 model can be continuously improved and iteratively upgraded.
As of December 2025, China Eastern Airlines' C919 fleet has accumulated more than 40,000 hours of safe flight, carried more than 2.45 million passengers, trained more than 160 C919 pilots (including 70 instructor captains), and completed more than 10,000 hours of C919 flight training.
On the day when the flight simulator was put into use, the China Eastern Airlines R&D Center also signed a technological innovation cooperation agreement with COMAC Customer Service Company. The two parties will continue to deepen cooperation around the domestic large aircraft business and work together to ensure the operation of the C919 passenger aircraft, talent training and technological innovation.
