A few days ago, Hubei East Lake Laboratory announced that on November 24, the team made another important breakthrough. It accelerates a 1.11-ton high-speed rail model car to a peak speed of 800km/h in 5.3 seconds, and its zero-to-zero acceleration time is less than 0.7 seconds, setting a new world record for the same type of platform.

According to reports,Based on the technical accumulation of the academician team in the field of electromagnetic launch, the laboratory adopts the "permanent magnet electric suspension guidance + electromagnetic propulsion" solution.

It breaks through technical problems such as stable operation of suspended guides under high-speed aerodynamic disturbances, suppression of thrust fluctuations of high-speed permanent magnet synchronous linear motors, ultra-large-capacity multi-level variable frequency drive control, high-speed long-stroke position detection and segmented power supply, and low-latency and highly reliable vehicle-to-ground wireless communications.

Breakthroughs in the core key technologies of high-speed maglev and the construction of test lines have created test conditions for the application of maglev technology at high speeds, and can carry out tests such as dynamic model aerodynamics, speed calibration, and overload impact resistance in open atmospheric environments.

Provide hard-core support for the next generation of high-speed maglev rail transportation, ultra-high-speed electromagnetic skids, aerospace electromagnetic launch, low-altitude economy, etc.

It is understood that in 2003, Shanghai opened a maglev demonstration line, which was the world's first commercial high-speed maglev line with a top speed of 430 kilometers per hour.

Beijing and Changsha have also built and operated medium- and low-speed maglev lines with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
