The Tu-214 thus became Russia's first approved civilian aircraft to complete full import substitution.
At the certificate issuance ceremony, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Alikhanov said that the domestic air collision avoidance system and ground proximity warning system equipped with this aircraft have successfully broken the previous global monopoly dominated by a single foreign company.
According to the plan,By the end of 2027, the annual production of Tu-214 will be increased to 20 aircraft.
In February this year, Alikhanov said that the first batch of Tu-214s is scheduled to be delivered for use in 2025.
According to the report, the Tu-214 civil aircraft will complete its first flight in November 2024, and will subsequently conduct commissioning flights.
In February 2025, the aircraft began executing the supplementary airworthiness certification test program, which has now been completed.
