In order to meet consumer demand during peak seasons such as New Year’s Day and Spring Festival,The state has recently issued to local governments in advance the first batch of 62.5 billion yuan of ultra-long-term special government bonds in 2026 to support the trade-in of consumer goods.The overall consumer goods this year are basically the same as last year, supporting the trade-in of cars, the trade-in of home appliances, the purchase of new digital and smart products, and the new category of smart glasses.
Taobao officially announced that starting from January 1st, you can search for "state subsidy" on Taobao and Tmall to receive it immediately.
The first batch of 12 eligible provinces and cities includes Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Hebei, Fujian, Inner Mongolia, Jiangxi, and Chongqing.
In addition to online, more than 10,000 offline Tmall Youpin stores nationwide will also fully undertake the 2026 national subsidy.
In terms of specific rules, the trade-in of home appliances focuses on six categories of products, including refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, air conditioners, computers, and water heaters. The first-level energy efficiency/water efficiency subsidy is 15%, and a single person can receive up to 1,500 yuan for a single item.
Mobile phones, tablets, smart watches (bracelets), smart glasses, and smart home products (including aging-friendly home products) with a single price of no more than 6,000 yuan will receive a 15% subsidy. A single person can receive a subsidy of up to 500 yuan for a single product.
According to Taobao's official introduction, in 2025, more than 3,000 categories, more than 10,000 brands, and 500,000 products will be available on Taobao Tmall, and an average of more than 150 million people visit the national subsidy area on Taobao every day, making it the platform with the richest coverage of categories, brands, and products and the highest frequency of consumer use.
