According to the latest revelation from @hongxing2020,NVIDIA has informed its partners that the RTX 3060 will return to production in the first quarter of 2026.The driving force behind this decision is the DRAM shortage crisis sweeping the world. The cost of the GDDR7 video memory used in the new generation RTX 50 has not only soared, but its supply is extremely scarce, resulting in huge pressure on its mass production and selling price.

As a 60-series graphics card for the mass consumer market, NVIDIA must provide alternatives to its partners.
RTX 3060 was initially launched in 2021 and discontinued in 2024, but its vitality is extremely tenacious.According to the latest Steam hardware statistics, RTX 3060 still ranks first in the global graphics card rankings with a share of 6.53%.

The graphics card has 12GB and 8GB video memory versions. It is not clear whether NVIDIA will produce both versions at the same time, but it can be confirmed that NVIDIA has asked AIC partners about their willingness and follow-up time.
However, now that the price of GDDR6 is not cheap, it remains to be seen whether its actual selling price will remain the same as before.
