Intel's new generation flagship CPU Core Ultra 9 290K Plus recently appeared on Geekbench. The overall performance is good and it is expected to become the fastest desktop processor for multi-threaded tasks.Ultra 9 290K Plus is the flagship model in the Core Ultra 200S Plus "Arrow Lake Refresh" series, and is also the first processor named with Plus. This is also the last wave of the LGA1851 platform, followed by LGA1954 Nova Lake.

In terms of configuration,Adopts the same 24-core configuration as Ultra 9 285K (8 P cores + 16 E cores),Provides performance upgrades primarily by increasing frequency. Compared with 285K, the P-core TVB turbo frequency increases by 100MHz to 5.8GHz.
In the Geekbench running score, the base frequency of this chip is 3.70GHz, the maximum core frequency can reach 5.80GHz, and the peak core frequency has been increased by 100MHz.

In terms of performance,The Intel Core Ultra 9 290K PLUS CPU scored 3456 points in the single-thread test and 24610 points in the multi-core test.Compared with the Core Ultra 9 285K, single-core performance is improved by 7% and multi-core performance is improved by 9%.
Compared with AMD's current fastest Ryzen 9 9950X3D, the single-core performance of 290K PLUS is improved by 2% and multi-core performance is improved by 11%.

It is expected that the gaming performance of the 290K Plus will not be much different from the existing 285K, and AMD's 3D V-Cache processor will continue to maintain a huge lead.
At present, it is unclear whether the 200K Plus series will directly replace the 200K series or whether it will coexist.
Expect more revelations and details to come out in the coming months as the release date approaches.
