2026 is off to a grim start for the gaming hardware market. Following previous reports that Nvidia would only prioritize production of the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti 8GB models in the Blackwell series and indefinitely postpone its RTX 5000 Super series plans, a new report states that the company has stopped production of the RTX 5070 Ti.

According to information obtained by technology media Hardware Unboxed after communicating with multiple AIBs (core partners) during the 2026 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2026), the production of RTX 5070 Ti has been terminated. Among them, Asus clearly admitted that due to the scarcity of supply of this model of chip, the company has classified it as "end of life" status. This means that there will not be any new RTX 5070 Ti cards from Asus or other brands beyond the remaining inventory currently on the shelves.
"Nvidia has essentially removed the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti from the market. ASUS, its largest AIB partner, has clearly informed us that this model is currently facing a supply shortage, so they have placed its status as 'End of Life.'" - Hardware Unboxed

The report further states that the 16GB version of the RTX 5060 Ti is expected to face the same fate, and has been significantly affected with almost non-existent inventory. With graphics memory inventories dwindling across the industry, Nvidia is focusing primarily on the 8GB graphics memory version of the RTX 50 series. Based on available information, the RTX 5080 is expected to be Nvidia's production-leading 16GB model.
For now, base RTX 5070 graphics cards are still available to AIB partners and retailers, although stock levels are not what they used to be. All industry signs indicate that supply constraints will only intensify in the near future, and this series of reports confirms rumors that Nvidia is phasing out production of its high-memory 50-series graphics cards as the industry's memory supply situation worsens.
