On December 17, NIO founder, chairman and CEO Li Bin drove an ET7 from Shanghai to measure the cruising range of a 150kWh ultra-long-lasting battery pack. After more than 14 hours of driving, the battery has traveled more than 1,000 kilometers.

The actual measured energy consumption per 100 kilometers for the entire 1,044 kilometers was 13.2kWh, with a remaining power of 3%. It is expected to still be able to travel more than 30 kilometers.
A few days ago, Li Bin posted a notice on Weibo saying that everyone has been waiting for a 150-degree battery pack.
He said that currently, all models of the first- and second-generation platforms have been verified and announced, and the team has also conducted various tests, and the performance such as cruising range has exceeded expectations.
"Some time ago, I saw three users in the Netherlands driving ET7 non-stop, driving 6,000 kilometers in 72 hours and 51 minutes, from the northernmost point to the southernmost point of the European continent, setting a record for the shortest time for an electric vehicle to cover the same mileage. Encouraged by them, I decided to drive myself to test the high-speed endurance performance of the 150-degree battery," Li Bin said.
It is reported that the NIO 150-degree battery pack was released at NIO Day in 2021. During the live broadcast, Li Bin said that the NIO 150-degree battery pack is the most technologically advanced among mass-produced battery packs in the world. It has completed the announcement and testing of the model, has recently begun ramping up production, and will be delivered to users in the near future.
As the competition on the new energy vehicle track gradually enters a fierce stage, power batteries have become a key bargaining chip for various car companies to compete for the market.
Previously, Jikrypton Motors took the lead in mass production equipped with CATL’s Kirin batteries. On November 1, 2022, the Jikrypton 009 press conference was held, and Jikrypton 009 made its debut. The Jikrypton 009ME version is equipped with Kirin batteries and a 140kWh battery pack, which gives the Jikrypton 009 a CLTC 822km cruising range, ranking first in the world for pure electric MPVs.
