Today, Musk announced the official open source of the new X platform algorithm, which is driven by the same Transformer architecture as xAI’s Grok model.Musk admitted that we know this algorithm is clumsy and needs to be significantly improved. But at least you can see that the X platform is working hard to make it better in real time and transparently,No other social media company does this.
It is reported that the algorithm is the same as the production system currently running and is powered by xAI’s Grok.
The full code is posted on GitHub and will be updated every 4 weeks.
Recommended content from users is combined with posts from accounts they follow and posts found on X, and then sorted using a Grok-based converter.
The converter predicts the odds that a user is likely to like, reply, retweet, click, or watch.
Rather than just predicting a single score, the model predicts multiple behaviors and combines them to achieve more granular rankings. Everything is learned directly from user behavior.
