Trump releases Macron’s text message: “Can’t understand what you are doing on Greenland”

U.S. President Trump earlier posted a screenshot on social platforms, showing a text message sent to him by French President Macron via Signal. In the text message, the French president told Trump that he "truly cannot understand what you are doing on the Greenland issue."

Macron also proposed convening a Group of Seven (G7) meeting in Paris on Thursday and invited the US president to have a separate dinner in the French capital on the same day.

A person close to Macron confirmed that the content of the text message was true.

The source added: "This shows that the French president's position is consistent in public and in private."
