TCL Technology recently announced that the company's board of directors has reviewed and approved the appointment of Wang Cheng as chief executive officer (CEO), who will be fully responsible for the company's daily operations and management. This means that founder Li Dongsheng will step down from his concurrent role as CEO and only retain the position of chairman.

Wang Cheng is a "veteran" of TCL Group. Since joining the company in 1997, he has held many core positions such as head of multimedia overseas business, group human resources director, senior vice president, etc. He has also served as the CEO of TCL Electronics and TCL Industrial Holdings, and has served as the group's chief operating officer since August 2021.
This personnel adjustment is an important arrangement for the company's operation and management. With nearly 30 years of industry experience and in-depth understanding of the group, Wang Cheng is considered to be able to smoothly assume management responsibilities. As of the announcement date, Wang Cheng held 268,220 shares of TCL Technology and was not ineligible for the position. The market generally believes that this change marks a further step forward for TCL Technology towards professional management.
