recently,The PowerToys team published a new feature proposal called "Command Palette Dock" on GitHub, planning to introduce a new "second taskbar" for Windows 11.Ironically, while the Windows 11 native taskbar still cannot be moved, users can place this new taskbar on any edge of the screen, whether it is the top, bottom or both sides, and can adjust it according to personal preferences.

Not only that, it also supports a high degree of personalization, including adjusting background transparency, theme appearance, and plug-in order.
This tool will also provide users with quick access to various extended functions. There is no need to open the command panel as frequently as before. Users can pin the most commonly used PowerToys plug-ins to the column and use them with a click.

At the same time, it also supports the placement of various small components, such as the "system resource monitoring" displayed by the development team, allowing users to see the CPU and memory usage at a glance without opening the task manager.

Currently, the Command Palette Dock is still in the proposal stage, and Microsoft is soliciting user feedback to determine the final form of this feature.
