Recently, a Xibei store that had been operating in Shenzhen for more than 10 years was closed, triggering heated discussions among netizens. It is reported that in late January, Xibei released information stating that the Shenzhen Haiya Colorful City store would officially close after the business ended on the night of January 31.In the notice, the reason given by the store for closure was "adjustment of store development plan."

The stored value balance, points and various coupons obtained in the customer's membership account of this store can still be used normally in other nearby stores in Xibei.

I thought it was just an ordinary closing adjustment. Unexpectedly, two days later,The store's mall issued a "Notification Letter Requiring Xibei to Restore Business Immediately."

The notification letter pointed out that Xibei has been operating here for nearly ten years. Previously, due to the influence of public opinion on pre-made dishes, Xibei applied to cease operations on February 28 on January 15.

However, without the written consent of the mall, Xibei tried to clear out the items in the store on the evening of January 31, and was accused of using the most dishonorable way to escape. Therefore, Xibei was required to resume business immediately.

It is reported that in mid-January, the news that Xibei planned to close 102 stores (accounting for 30% of the total stores) at one time caused a shock in the industry.

The closure of the store will involve employment issues for 4,000 employees. The conflict between Xibei founders Jia Guolong and Luo Yonghao broke out again. The two sides were at odds with each other and became the focus of public attention.

Subsequently, both of their Weibo accounts were blocked to quell the flames of war, but Jia Guolong spoke out through WeChat Moments many times.
