Nowadays, the "refrigerator, color TV and large sofa" has become a standard three-piece set for high-end cars. In particular, the seat massage function has become a must-have configuration for many people when choosing a car. However, most of the car seat massage functions currently on the market can only cover the position from the waist to the shoulders and neck. As the "grandfather" of automobiles, Mercedes-Benz recently submitted a new patent that allows car seats to achieve head massage.

Judging from the published patent design drawings, Mercedes-Benz has designed a small mechanical arm that can be hidden inside the seat headrest. When the massage function is activated, the robotic arm will poke out from the inside of the headrest and use the massage probe to achieve the massage function.

The design of Mercedes-Benz's massage probe is somewhat similar to the "soul extractor" that everyone ridicules on the Internet. Through the grabbing and twisting of multiple contact points, it can stimulate the acupuncture points on the head and have a refreshing effect.

I have to say that I think this new patent from Mercedes-Benz is quite practical. After all, the most feared thing about long-distance driving is the drowsiness of the brain. With the massage function, the fatigue of the head can be greatly relieved, which is helpful for both comfort and safety.

However, there is currently no news that Mercedes-Benz will quickly mass-produce this technology, but the author is quite looking forward to this feature. Or the new domestic forces should do some research and implement this function as soon as possible?
