Foreign media CNET announced a mobile phone battery life test result yesterday. After testing 35 mobile phones, they found that the iPhone 17 series was far ahead in the results. In the top 5 list they published, there are a total of 9 mobile phones. The number one ranking may not be expected by many people, but it is the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The second place may not have been expected by many people - iPhone 17, with a battery capacity of 3692mAh, tied for second place with the OnePlus 15 equipped with a large 7300mAh battery.

CNET conducted two test projects. One is a 3-hour battery life test. It connects to WiFi when fully charged and plays videos at 100% brightness. The second is a 45-minute endurance test. It runs multiple games, plays videos, makes video calls, and browses various social media information streams when fully charged.

After testing, in the 3-hour battery life project, the iPhone 17 Pro Max ranked first with 91% of the remaining power. The second, third and fourth places were OnePlus 15, iPhone 17 and OnePlus 15R. In the 45-minute battery life project, the iPhone 17 Pro Max also took the top spot. After the test, only 1% of the battery was lost, and the top four places were all taken by iPhone.
In terms of overall score, the top five on the list given by CNET are Apple, OnePlus, Motorola, Samsung and Google.
Nearly half of the products with the best battery life in this test used silicon-carbon batteries.
In the past year, many mobile phones have used silicon-carbon batteries, which can increase battery capacity without increasing battery size. But in the test, it still couldn't beat the iPhone that didn't use silicon-carbon batteries. I have to say that the iPhone system has something tuned.
But this result is also contrary to domestic feelings. After all, domestic people complain about the poor battery life of iPhones, so the results of this test are also very surprising. After all, we usually measure battery life through endurance tests. We test from full power to no power to see who performs the best. Battery tests that only measure 45 minutes and 3 hours are really rare. Is this really convincing enough?
In addition, because CNET's team is in the United States, they can only use mobile phones that can be purchased in the United States for testing. They know that OnePlus is a sub-brand of OPPO, and they also want to buy OPPO Find X9 Pro and Find N5, but they cannot buy them.
However, in addition to OnePlus, there is also a domestic mobile phone on the list - Poco F7 Ultra, which is called REDMI K80 Pro in China. You can judge the current level of iPhone battery life in China from the performance of it and OnePlus 15, and see if CNET's test is credible.
