A new case of Amazon graphics card swapping scam has appeared, and it will certainly not be the last one.A user posted that after the white Zotac RTX 5070 Ti he ordered arrived, he opened the package and found that what was lying inside was not a graphics card, but a box of ordinary pebbles.
This type of scam has occurred too many times. The core is usually return fraud. After purchasing high-value goods, scammers replace the originals with stones, bricks and other items, and then repackage them to pretend to be unopened and return them to the warehouse.
Due to their similar weight and intact package appearance, these items often bypass quick review at the warehouse and end up being reshipped to the next unlucky buyer.

Fortunately, Amazon issued a full refund to the victim and did not require the box of stones to be returned. The buyer received a box of pebbles for free.
Some netizens joked in the comment area that these stones are "unrefined raw silicon material" and are so powerful that they can "break through" any game.
Although the ending was a near miss, this incident once again reminds everyone that when purchasing expensive hardware such as the RTX 50 series, you must record an unboxing video to protect your own rights and interests.
