At a time when electric vehicles are becoming “larger and more expensive”, Volkswagen has chosen to go in the opposite direction.Today, the latest winter test photos of the Volkswagen ID.Polo were exposed. The new car has lost its camouflage and its appearance details are basically finalized. The car is Volkswagen's smallest electric hatchback and has now entered the "quasi-mass production" stage.
Uncamouflaged spy photos show that ID.Polo is only slightly covered by the front and rear bumpers, and the overall shape is very close to the ID.2 all concept car that will be unveiled in 2023.
The test car includes two colors, one black and one white. The black one is equipped with larger sports wheels. Both cars have mild sports kits such as small rear wings, thickened side skirts and a more prominent front lip.

It is understood that the new car is based on the MEB+ platform, has a wheelbase of 2600mm, and the internal space is significantly improved compared to the fuel Polo.
The power system is a front-wheel drive layout, providing three power versions of 114hp/133hp/208hp, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 hp in about 7 seconds.
A high-performance GTI version (223hp) will be launched later, which will be Volkswagen's first electric GTI. The starting price is 25,000 euros and is expected to be sold at the end of 2026.
In terms of battery, the entry-level version is equipped with a 37kWh battery pack, focusing on urban commuting; the 52kWh battery pack version has a range of up to 450km.
