According to CCTV news reports, recently,my country's first C909 "aircraft hospital" completed its first on-board eye surgery in Laos, and the patient recovered well after the operation. This C909 "aircraft hospital" independently developed by China is equipped with ophthalmic surgical microscopes, ENT endoscope systems, and digital diagnosis and treatment equipment.Multidisciplinary joint diagnosis and treatment can be carried out. The aircraft flew to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on February 6, officially launching the first stop of the "Air Health Silk Road" overseas charity diagnosis and treatment activities.
The "Flying Hospital" will provide comprehensive medical services including mobile diagnosis and treatment, surgical demonstrations, personnel training and material donations, and provide Lao people with eye, ear, nose and throat disease screening and surgical treatment.
It is understood that in January this year, my country’s first medical practice point located in an aircraft was approved in Shanghai and officially put into pilot operation.
This means that outpatient clinics, examinations and surgeries can be carried out on airplanes in the future, especially for patients in remote areas and overseas.
The "Five Senses Health C909 Aircraft Hospital" is equipped with the highest standard Class 100 laminar flow clean operating room.It has reached the sterile environment requirements for performing delicate surgeries such as ophthalmology.
So far, many public welfare surgeries have been successfully completed, and patients from Yili, Guizhou and other places in Xinjiang have successfully returned for follow-up consultations after undergoing on-board surgeries.
