Recently, Bill Gates, chairman of the Gates Foundation, visited China again after two and a half years. During this visit to China, Gates faced the controversy surrounding his dealings with Epstein and responded to issues such as rebuilding his reputation. Gates admitted, "Between 2011 and 2014, I did have dinner with Epstein several times, but there is actually nothing new to add about this matter. I have never had contact with any victims, and I have never been to his island."

He revealed, “He promised me that we could raise a lot of money for global health. It turned out that there was no progress, and we didn’t raise a penny.”

In response to emails released by the U.S. Department of Justice on January 30, Epstein implied in unsent emails that Gates had engaged in extramarital sex and contracted sexually transmitted diseases.

Gates further clarified, "I do feel that associating with such people is a mistake in itself. But I must emphasize that I have not had any contact with any victims."

He emphasized that "the email that was recently exposed was actually an email that he never sent. It seems that he wrote it to himself and was planning some way to put pressure on me. It is difficult for me to judge his true intentions. But I have never received or seen that email. I have repeatedly emphasized from the beginning: I regret and apologize for having contacted him, but I have never contacted any victims."

When talking about his personal situation, Gates said, "I have always loved innovation, and I feel very lucky. Microsoft's business has been very successful, and the foundation's work is also progressing smoothly. At present, I am in good health and have three excellent children."

According to reports, although Gates is extremely wealthy, he still cannot fill the serious lack of funding for global health. He has been raising funds for global health through various methods.

Gates also co-launched the "Giving Pledge" with investor Buffett in June 2010 to encourage the world's richest people to donate at least half of their wealth to charity to promote the growth of social welfare funds.

Gates hopes that the outside world can see his overall focus and the various causes that the foundation is promoting. In May last year, Gates announced that he would donate almost all of his wealth over the next 20 years through the Gates Foundation.

It is reported that by December 31, 2045, the Gates Foundation will permanently close. The Gates Foundation's philanthropic spending is expected to exceed $200 billion between now and 2045.
