The inventory of iPhone 16e and iPad Air in Apple's retail channels has tightened significantly in recent days, with some models almost sold out, which is regarded by the industry as a signal that the new models are about to be released. According to people familiar with the matter, the new generation of products is expected to be officially unveiled in the next few weeks.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman said on the social platform
Just this past weekend, Gurman reported that the iPhone 17e will be launched "soon" and will bring four major upgrades including the A19 chip, MagSafe magnetic charging, Apple's new C1X cellular network modem chip, and the N1 wireless chip for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Thread connections. This model is expected to maintain the same starting price of $599 as the previous generation 16e and continue to focus on the mid-range market.
In addition to the new iPhone, Apple also plans to launch a new entry-level iPad 12 and a new generation iPad Air in the near future. According to the report, there will be no significant adjustments in the appearance design and functions of these two tablets, and the focus of the update will be on chip upgrades. Among them, the 12th generation iPad is expected to be equipped with an A18 chip that supports Apple Intelligence functions, while the 8th generation iPad Air is expected to be equipped with an M4 chip to further improve performance.
As the stock of iPhone 16e and current iPad Air in stores is dwindling, it is widely expected that Apple will announce the specific launch time and detailed configuration of the above-mentioned new products in the next few weeks.
