Ubisoft has announced that it will launch "Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition" tomorrow (February 13) to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the birth of this classic game series. The collection, officially announced at Sony's State of Play conference, will allow players to relive the original "Rayman" game launched in 1995 in various forms, and also contains a large amount of additional content.

This commemorative collection is produced by Digital Eclipse, the company that has created well-known works such as "Mortal Kombat: Legends Collection", "Atari 50th Anniversary Celebration" and "Tetris Eternal". This collection includes multiple versions of the original "Rayman" in 1995, including MS-DOS version, PlayStation version, Atari Jaguar version, Game Boy Color version and Game Boy Advance version. These versions have been enhanced with original soundtracks reinterpreted by composer Christophe Héral and more than 120 new levels for players to challenge.

Ubisoft said in the introduction that players will experience Rayman's signature punching and helicopter-style hair gliding action as they traverse a colorful world - from the unforgettable Mosquito ride in Dream Forest to the musical mayhem of Band Land. Players need to rescue the electronic elves and save the world from Mr. Dark. This is a classic platform adventure with a unique art style, and its charm is still as charming today as it was in the 1990s.

It is worth mentioning that this collection also includes a "long-lost SNES prototype version", giving players the opportunity to understand how the gameplay of this limbless hero was originally born. In terms of gameplay and accessibility, the development team has also made many improvements. Players can rewind the game process, use multiple save slots, enable unlimited lives, invincible mode, and even unlock levels directly.

In addition to the game content, the collection comes with an interactive documentary of over 50 minutes, featuring interviews with the original Rayman developers, early concept art, sketches, and even design documents. "Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition" will be released simultaneously on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Switch platforms on February 13.
