Recently, Huawei and DJI have successively exposed heavy anti-corruption news. Two former executives were taken compulsory measures in accordance with the law on suspicion of bribery by non-state personnel. Today, according to Jiemian News, in February 2026, Yuan, the former vice president of sales of DJI, was criminally detained by the public security organs on suspicion of accepting bribes by non-state officials.
Public information shows that Yuan served as the vice president of DJI from May 2019 to May 2024 and was fully responsible for sales. During his tenure, he was accused of taking advantage of his position to obtain huge improper benefits.
It is reported that the case is currently under judicial proceedings.
Just two days before DJI’s anti-corruption news was exposed, Huawei also issued an internal anti-corruption report.
On February 13, according to Jiemian News, Huawei’s internal anti-corruption report No. 2026 (001) showed that Deng, the former director of the Multimedia Technology Department of Terminal BG, was arrested by the Shenzhen Longgang District People’s Procuratorate in accordance with the law on suspicion of bribery by non-state staff.
It is reported that Deng joined Huawei in July 2007 and successively served as an engineer in the terminal hardware platform department, a senior engineer in the terminal device and normalization department, a senior engineer and architect in the terminal multimedia technology department, a camera department manager and the director of the multimedia technology department until December 2020.
After judicial investigation, Deng was suspected of taking advantage of his position to seek improper benefits for suppliers and accepting huge amounts of favor fees during his employment.
On December 9, 2025, Deng was placed under criminal detention on suspicion of committing a crime, and was arrested with the approval of the Procuratorate on January 15, 2026.
Public information shows that Deng has served as the legal representative and chairman of Shanghai Honor Smart Technology Development Co., Ltd. since May 2023, and also serves as president of the Honor Terminal R&D Management Department.
On May 16, 2024, Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. issued an internal notice that Deng was dismissed from his position as president of the R&D Management Department and removed from the company due to violation of the "Code of Business Conduct", but the specific details of the violation were not disclosed.
According to people familiar with the matter, Deng joined Geely Holding Company Xingji Meizu under a pseudonym after being removed from Honor.
