A farce of a self-developed robot dog during the India AI Impact Summit continues to unfold. Galgotias University exhibited a robot dog named Orion, which was revealed by netizens to be the Unitree Go2 product of China Yushu Technology. Prior to this, a video widely circulated on social media showed that a woman introduced to the media at the exhibition site that the school's team independently developed the robot dog.

After the incident was exposed, the school first denied that it had claimed independent research and development, and then issued a statement on social platforms, admitting that the equipment was indeed purchased from Yushu Technology.

The school emphasized that this robot dog is mainly used as a tool for students to learn and experiment. It is part of students learning artificial intelligence programming and using the tools and resources available around the world to develop and deploy real-world skills.

The school said in a statement that the school's vision focuses on student learning and innovation, and providing practical opportunities for modern technology is to pave the way for students' future development. At the same time, the school expresses distress over the negative public opinion and believes that relevant communication will dampen the morale of students in using global resources for innovative learning.
