Now China's chips are being recognized and adopted by more and more foreign companies, such as Toyota and Suzuki, which have chosen to join. According to Japanese media reports, Toyota Motor and Suzuki will use SoC (system-on-chip) developed by Horizon Robotics, a Chinese automotive semiconductor emerging company, in vehicles sold outside China.
At present, mainstream car companies usually purchase semiconductors from manufacturers in Japan, the United States and Europe, but it is rare to use Chinese-made chips outside China.

According to reports, this is because Chinese chips have high cost competitiveness and reliable quality.
As China's automobile exports continue to increase, competition with Chinese automobiles is increasing. Japanese automobile companies may judge that it will be difficult to win in the competition if they do not use semiconductors made in China.
In fact, Chinese companies have risen significantly in the field of cutting-edge semiconductor SoC (system-on-chip) used in automobiles. Previously, the SoC of Chinese emerging company Horizon Robotics has begun to be adopted by European automobile manufacturers.
Horizon's SoC is widely used in popular models of Chinese companies. As of the end of September 2024, it has been adopted in 285 models of a total of 27 automobile manufacturers.
