Hollywood is preparing to shoot a new version of the classic action movie "Charlie's Angels". According to foreign media Hollywoodreporter, Sony has hired "Crazy Rich Asians" screenwriter Pete Chiarelli to write a script with the aim of introducing this famous secret agent team to young audiences in the 2020s.

The biggest surprise, however, came in casting news. According to industry media The InSneider, the stars of the original series of movies, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, will return. It's unclear whether they will be starring in the series or appear as guest stars to pass the baton to the new trio of agents. However, their participation in the project is almost a foregone conclusion.

Not only that, but the writers are also trying to bring back Demi Moore, who played Madison Lee in the 2003 sequel "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle." The problem is, her character died in the previous film when she accidentally blew herself up. But the writers were determined to "put her back together" and integrate her into the new story.
It is reported that Chiarelli's script will completely ignore Elizabeth Banks' version of "Charlie's Angels". That version tanked at the box office, so audiences needn't expect that lineup to return.
