Today, according to Apple's App Store free app download list, Tencent Yuanbao, which previously topped the list with a 1 billion yuan red envelope event, has now fallen out of the top ten. In the current list, Doubao ranks first and Qianwen ranks second.

During the Spring Festival, Tencent Yuanbao quickly became popular relying on the "share 1 billion in cash" campaign, and its downloads once soared to the top of Apple's free list.
On February 18, Tencent officially announced that Yuanbao’s daily active users (DAU) exceeded 50 million and monthly active users (MAU) reached 114 million.
Activity data shows that the cumulative number of draws at the main Spring Festival venue exceeded 3.6 billion, users completed more than 1 billion AI tasks through the "Creation" column, and 159 functions were iteratively updated within 21 days.
It is reported that this red envelope event started in the early morning of February 1st and ended on February 17th, covering a variety of methods such as lucky draw red envelopes, blessing red envelopes, and limited-time red envelope rain.
As the event came to an end, the download volume of Yuanbao dropped significantly. Some netizens lamented: "Is the Goose Factory really old?"
It is worth mentioning that Ma Huateng emphasized at the 2025 annual employee meeting that Tencent’s AI strategy focuses on long-term product competitiveness and user experience, and does not blindly pursue short-term popularity.
