In January this year, Wan Zhiqiang, CMO of Xingji Meizu Group China, revealed that Meizu 23 will still be released in 2026, but from now on, the project is no longer substantially advanced.

A person close to Meizu revealed that since April last year, Meizu has been unable to settle payments from many suppliers normally, and there are still a large amount of arrears that have become bad debts. "Meizu will most likely file for bankruptcy."
