At the same time, the company announced the appointment of Ms. Wu Yihong and Ms. Xiao Yang as new independent directors. This appointment is designed to maintain the diversity of expertise and innovative perspectives on the Board. Wu Yihong currently serves as an independent director of many listed companies such as MakeMyTrip, Alibaba Health, Swire Properties and Noah Holdings. He once served as the chief strategy officer and chief financial officer of Home Inns Hotel Group. Xiao Yang previously worked at Capital International Investors, Principal Global Investors and Ping An Asset Management Co., Ltd. as an investment analyst and portfolio manager.
In addition, Lee Ki-bae has been appointed as a member of the remuneration committee of the board of directors. According to the company's articles of association, Wu Yihong and Xiao Yang's terms will last until the company's next annual general meeting, at which time they will be eligible to stand for re-election.
