According to reports,Audi is advancing the revival of the classic model A2. The new car is positioned as the brand's entry-level pure electric product, and the price is expected to be lower than the Audi A3.The first-generation Audi A2 was launched in 1999 and was a technologically advanced model. The car uses an all-aluminum body, weighs only 830 kilograms, has a drag coefficient as low as 0.25, and fuel consumption per 100 kilometers as low as 3L.
However, due to the engineering-oriented design and higher pricing,The first-generation A2 did not achieve market success and was officially discontinued in 2005. The cumulative output during its entire life cycle was approximately 175,000 units.
Currently, the entire A2 e-tro has entered the large-scale road test stage.
As the electric successor of the A2 car series, the new Audi A2 e-tron continues the rounded silhouette and upright body posture of the first generation model, while incorporating Audi's latest family design language, with sharper lines and split headlights, making it highly recognizable.

The new car is built on the upgraded MEB+ platform and will provide two battery specifications, launching single-motor front-wheel drive and dual-motor quattro four-wheel drive versions.
The body size is expected to be around 4.2 meters, with a four-wheel and four-corner layout.
The interior adopts Audi's latest generation family-style cockpit, equipped with dual curved screens and a pocket design, while retaining a large number of practical physical buttons.
In terms of price, the starting price of the A2 e-tron in overseas markets is expected to be about 35,000 euros (approximately RMB 283,000). If it is subsequently introduced into the country, the price is expected to drop further.
