According to the latest reports from foreign media, DeepSeek has handed over its latest large model to domestic manufacturers (software and hardware) for priority testing, including Huawei. The report mentioned that DeepSeek has provided the DeepSeek V4 model to domestic hardware suppliers including Huawei Technologies for testing optimization, but has not provided it to NVIDIA and AMD.
People familiar with the matter said this approach broke with industry practice, which usually involves sharing pre-release versions with chip manufacturers before major model updates.

AI developers have traditionally shared pre-release versions of major models with leading chipmakers such as NVIDIA and AMD to ensure their software runs efficiently on widely used hardware. Deep Seeking has worked closely with NVIDIA's technical team before.
But this time, the V4 version of DeepSeek provided early access to domestic suppliers including Huawei Technologies, but shut out Nvidia and AMD (without providing access rights). This is worth pondering.
In line with this behavior, Chinese chipmakers (including Huawei) optimize their software for these processors weeks in advance.
In fact, there has been news before that domestic large models are deeply matching domestic AI hardware, which can better support the development of China's AI. Now it seems that DeepSeek has taken a good lead.
