On February 27, Rockchip issued a notice about the MPP open source compliance incident, saying that recently, the company’s open source media framework software MPP had compliance issues with the open source license terms of some codes, resulting in its GitHub repository being temporarily frozen. We would like to apologize to the open source community, all affected partners, and developers.

Rockchip also stated that the company initiated rectification work after the incident and actively communicated with FFmpeg and GitHub organizations. At present, all relevant codes have been replaced with new codes independently developed and compliant with open source protocols, and have been submitted to GitHub.
