Razer recently launched a new 16-inch laptop protective case. The biggest highlight is that the protective case integrates wireless charging functions for small devices such as smartphones and headphones. It supports MagSafe accessories and can charge an iPhone and a pair of AirPods at the same time. It is priced at US$129.99.
The wireless charging module is embedded in the top of this protective case. When the cover is closed, the internal magnetic structure is used to fix the protective case and adsorb and position MagSafe-compatible devices. Users only need to place the iPhone or AirPods charging box in the designated area to start charging. The protective case draws power through a USB‑C cable, which can be connected to a power adapter with a power of 30W or above, or directly connected to a Mac notebook as the power output.
In terms of charging specifications, the protective case has two built-in wireless charging areas: providing up to 15W wireless charging power for iPhone and 5W charging power for AirPods. This also means that for new iPhones that support up to 25W wireless charging, the case cannot realize its full wireless fast charging potential. In addition, the product design does not support charging two iPhones at the same time, on the one hand because there is only one 15W charging coil, and on the other hand it is limited by the space layout on the top of the protective case.
As a notebook protective accessory, this protective case has a cushioning padding structure inside, which can provide a certain degree of anti-fall protection for the MacBook during daily carrying; the inner lining is made of soft material to reduce the risk of scratches on the fuselage. The exterior is made of black polyester fiber, which officials claim is wear-resistant and rainproof, and has reinforced designs at the four corners to cope with daily bumps.
