Somerset revealed in an interview with IGN that her personal favorite series include Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. When talking about the latter's divided reputation among fans, she shared a surprising personal hobby: "I saw many players cosplaying characters from "Twilight Princess" at comic conventions, and I - I can write the Hylian text of "Twilight Princess."

She explained that when she was researching the setting collection "Hyrule Chronicles", she accidentally discovered the "Twilight Princess" version of Hylian writing. As an actor who voiced Zelda in "Breath of the Wild", "Tears of the Kingdom" and two Calamity series spin-offs, Somerset naturally has deep thoughts on the relationship between the two protagonists. When asked by IGN, she responded cautiously and poetically:

"I have to be careful with my answer to that question. I personally have a lot of theories, but I think the beauty of the relationship lies precisely in its ambiguity—if there is a romantic undercurrent, it's in an unspoken way. There's clearly a deep friendship and protectiveness between the two. It's a beautiful relationship that has continued to evolve and remain open throughout the many iterations of the series."

She stresses the need to be cautious about the term "unrequited love": "They can be friends, they can be warrior companions, they can be a princess and a knight, they can be lovers, they can be soul mates who, even if they are not coupled romantically, are destined to have a lifelong friendship."
