Nvidia has surpassed Apple in terms of revenue contribution and has become TSMC's current largest customer. Since TSMC never names specific customers in its financial reports and only refers to them as "Customer A" and "Customer B", Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang recently blurted out in public that Nvidia is TSMC's "number one customer", basically confirming this identity change. This means that in TSMC's financial reporting system, Nvidia now corresponds to the so-called "A customer."

The report pointed out that Nvidia contributed NT$726.9 billion in revenue to TSMC in 2025, equivalent to approximately US$23.2 billion, more than double the level in 2024. However, this does not mean that Nvidia’s wafer production at TSMC has doubled year-on-year, because the more advanced the process node, the higher the price. At the same time, such orders usually include a series of additional services such as advanced packaging and testing, so the overall amount will increase significantly.
Correspondingly, Apple, as a "B customer", brought NT$645.1 billion in revenue to TSMC in 2025, which is approximately US$20.5 billion. It is also a considerable number, but it has been surpassed by Nvidia. In terms of revenue share, Nvidia contributed approximately 19% of TSMC's revenue, a significant increase from 12% in 2024; while Apple's share dropped from 22% in 2024 to 17%.
In the context of the continued rise in demand for generative artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, NVIDIA's voice in TSMC's advanced processes and advanced packaging production capacity has rapidly increased, while Apple is facing the pressure of a more mature market cycle in the fields of smartphones and self-developed chips, and its order share is gradually diluted. This growth and decline not only changes the ranking of TSMC's largest customers, but also reflects that the focus of the global semiconductor industry is accelerating from mobile terminals to artificial intelligence and data center computing.
