OpenAI announced the completion of a new round of financing, with a pre-money valuation of US$730 billion and a total financing of US$110 billion. This includes SoftBank’s investment of US$30 billion, Nvidia’s investment of US$30 billion, and Amazon’s investment of US$50 billion.

OpenAI stated that it has reached a strategic cooperation with Amazon and finalized next-generation inference computing power support with NVIDIA. As this round of financing progresses, more financial investors are expected to join.

Since the beginning of this year, Codex’s weekly active users have more than tripled, reaching 1.6 million. Today, more people can create, automate deployment, and release software on their own without the need for a full engineering team.

More than 9 million paying enterprise users rely on ChatGPT to carry out their work. Start-ups, large enterprises and government agencies are developing on the OpenAI platform to reshape the design, delivery and operation models of their products and services.

ChatGPT has become the starting point for the public to access artificial intelligence, with more than 900 million weekly active users and currently more than 50 million consumer subscribers. Subscription growth has accelerated significantly since the beginning of the year, and January and February are expected to be the months with the most new subscribers in the company's history.

The valuation after this round of financing has increased the value of the OpenAI Foundation’s shares in OpenAI Group to more than US$180 billion.
