Apple's 12th-generation entry-level iPad will be officially released a week before Apple's special event on March 4. It is equipped with an 11-inch full screen + side Touch ID. The body thickness is 7mm, making it Apple’s thickest tablet. There are no design changes.
The screen is made of LCD material and does not support ProMotion high brush, P3 wide color gamut and screen bonding technology. Compared with high-end tablets, the reflection is more obvious.
The compatibility of rear/front cameras, USB-C interface, Apple Pencil and other accessories has not changed. There are currently four colors of blue, pink, silver and yellow, and new colors may be added in 2026.
Equipped with the same A19 chip as the iPhone 17, it is built on a 3-nanometer process. Compared with the previous generation A16 chip, it has greatly improved operating speed and energy efficiency, and is also the core upgrade point of the machine.
The A19 chip supports the Apple Intelligence function,It makes up for the shortcomings of the previous generation A16 chip that does not support this function. It is also equipped with hardware-accelerated ray tracing technology, which greatly improves the gaming experience.
In order to adapt to the AI function, the memory has been increased from 6GB in the previous generation to 8GB to meet the running requirements of the AI function.
It is expected to be equipped with Apple’s self-developed N1 wireless chip and C1/C1X modem chip.
