The highly anticipated animated film "Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie" jointly created by Illumination Entertainment and Nintendo officially announced today that it will be released in mainland China on April 3, only two days later than the North American premiere on April 1, and will be released almost simultaneously. The film studio simultaneously released the latest trailer with Chinese subtitles. Mario and his friends will break through gravity and bravely venture into the vast galaxy, bringing an unprecedented interstellar adventure to the audience.

As the sequel to the 2023 box office miracle "Super Mario Bros. Movie", this film continues the luxurious dubbing lineup of the previous film. "Star-Lord" Chris Pratt once again lends his voice to Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy returns to voice Princess Peach, Charlie Day continues to portray Luigi, and Jack Black will once again play the villain Bowser. The previous film "Super Mario Bros. The Movie" grossed US$1.36 billion at the global box office, setting a miracle in the history of animated films, with a Rotten Tomatoes audience popcorn index of 95%. This sequel is created by the return of directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenik, screenwriter Matthew Fogel and other original cast members, and Illumination Entertainment’s Christopher Meledandri and Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto continue to jointly produce.
