Apple seems to have leaked the name of its long-rumored new low-price MacBook product - "MacBook Neo" - in advance on the regulatory information page of its official website. This model is expected to be officially released this Wednesday.

A regulatory filing shows that "MacBook Neo" (model number A3404) has appeared on the compliance information page of Apple's official website, but the page does not provide any further specification details or product images. The relevant link was quickly removed by Apple.

Multiple sources have previously reported that this more user-friendly MacBook will use an iPhone-like A18 Pro or A19 Pro chip instead of the M-series chips used in existing Mac products, and will also be equipped with a 12.9-inch display. In terms of appearance, it was revealed that the new machine will be available in a variety of lively colors, such as yellow, green, blue and pink. The name "MacBook Neo" is also considered to be closer to its "young, entry-level" image.

In terms of product line positioning, MacBook Neo is expected to be located below the MacBook Air, focusing on lower prices and more lightweight performance configurations. Its starting price has not yet been determined, and industry forecasts range from $599 to $799.

The media is expected to be the first to get hands-on with this new product at the "Apple Experience" offline experience events held in New York, London and Shanghai at 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday. This release will not be conducted through the traditional live broadcast of Apple's online conference. It is expected that Apple will officially announce the MacBook Neo and its detailed information through a press release on the official website Newsroom.

Shortly after the regulatory page was briefly launched, the "MacBook Neo" related link was quietly removed by Apple, but this episode further confirmed market expectations that Apple is about to launch a new low-priced MacBook product line.
